TMO Launches ALMO networking group

Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) proudly hosted the inaugural meeting of the London and Southern ALMOs Board Members Networking Group on Wednesday 17 May 2006.

The aim of the network is to promote the ALMO movement and to encourage organisations to learn both together and from each other.  The group will meet regularly to develop a regional board member voice and work to consider how national housing and community issues affect them on a local scale.

Gordon Perry, Chief Executive of the TMO, said:

‘Increasingly Board Members recognise the benefit of networking and want to meet and discuss issues with other ALMO Board Members.  The TMO is proud to share its ideas on best practice, and by working together we can all develop our services to further benefit our residents’.

The Network hopes to collaborate with other groups such as the London ALMO Procurement Network to share ideas and best practice.  There will also be opportunities for joint training.
