What happens when a property becomes vacant?

We re-let our properties within a set target in days. We use apply a “void standard” to determine what works will be carried out to the property.

We try to advertise homes as soon as we know they are going to be empty – even if the occupants have not yet moved out. Once the tenants have moved out we inspect within 2 days of the property becoming empty. While the property is having works we will advertise it on the Home Connections website. We set a minimum points level and all applicants registered on that bedroom list are sent details of the vacancy. Details of the rent, viewing date, deadline for bids and how to place bids are on the advert. The vacancy is normally advertised for a week.
